AHSC Treatments
« backThread Vein RemovalWhat is it?A method of destroying the thread vein by focusing an Intensed Pulsed Light beam onto the vein which is absorbed by the hemoglobin. When the temperature reaches about 60-70C, the blood coagulates, and the inner cells of the blood vessels denature. This causes the vein vessel to collapse. The vein then dissolves. It’s for the removal of narrow thread veins (broken blood vessels that break through the skin’s top layer) on the face. Facial veins can be
hereditary or occur as part of the ageing process, sun exposure or by a “flushing” skin condition known as rosacea. How long does it take?Quick. It takes only five or six seconds to treat a vein 3-4cm (1-2in) long. Frequency of treatmentsUsually one to three treatments at three week intervals. For veins not treatable with IPL please see Sclerotherapy. |
