More information on Lactic Acid Peels
Benefits of a Lactic Acid Peel
Improves skin hydration and barrier function of the skin, whilst refining the appearance of wrinkles. It evens skin tone and lightens (superficial) pigmentation and ultimately stimulates collagen production.
How Long Does the Treatment Take?
Treatment takes 30 minutes per session and clients require between 1-6 treatments depending on their skin issues.
There is minimum downtime with this peel. There may be a couple of days post treatment when the skin appears very dry and might shred slightly. Never use manual exfoliators nor scrubbing brushes within 24 hours of using a peel. Stop Retin A, benzoyl peroxides, acne products and any other drying agents. Never apply a chemical peel to inflamed skin.
How it Works?
An advanced resurfacing treatment, excellent for age management and hyperpigmentation. This peel is suitable for asian skin.
Lactic Acid is a non-irritating rapid exfoliator. Because Lactic Acid is a naturally occurring human metabolite, there is much less chance of allergic reaction using this type of acid peel. If you are looking for a peel with a good acidic value and with virtually no irritation, then this product is for you.
This is often called a “starter peel” because the lactic acid peel is the most gentle of all the chemical peels. Once people have successfully had lactic acid peels with no trouble, they move onto peels that are little more intense.
